Crypto speculation is why crypto is dead. No one wants to spend it, making it even more useless as a form of currency than all the other issues with the various "coins".
Buying pizza and stuff with thousands of bitcoins was what it was about in the early days, and I think it was an important part of how others got to seeing value in it, if people had horded it from the beginning I don't think it would be seen as having anywhere near the same worth now.
That being said, I think there isn't much incentive to accept/use crypto for sexual services, aside from a few that want to use crypto as payment just because it has shown some value for anonymising transactions, but it's legal so not a huge incentitive to be too worried say the government might find out and cash works pretty well to not have to explain charges on a bank statement.
People accept it I think partly as I why not, it might get them a few more interested punters, perhaps thinking it's cool, even if the punters wind up paying in cash or card.
If people want to keep anonymous financial transactions alive, maybe use fiat more? Buy your groceries with silly fiat government issued notes and metal coins instead of using the convenient card from the bank... fiat to the moon (right now we are seeing money go away but the future looks like it'll be bank issued cards and payment service businesses to me)
