Well, where do I begin. I'm a single migrant, a lonely man with no relatives in Australia. Yes, there are people at work I'm friends with but come knock off time, everyone goes home to their families.

Yep - a lot of those problems started when FIFO's with a lot of disposable income started to spend big in restaurants, brothels, strip clubs etc - this was before the mining downturn a few years ago. Then a lot of them lost their jobs/houses/boats etc and now in this mining boom most of the mining companies have employees on contracts so FIFO's are now careful on where and when to spend their money. However many places like strip clubs still operate thinking everybody is still flush with disposable income and still haven't realised that what happened 5 -10 years ago won't happen again.

Also there is no competition here in Perth - we only have Voodoo Lounge, Penthouse and Kings & Angels - so they think they can also charge what they like and obviously try and make money on group bookings/bucks parties. Melbourne for example is better priced because they have more competition and punters would quickly shun a place if their prices and service skyrocketed.

I have a good friend that is a stripper and men are still paying!! and pay her very well….I guess bottom line no matter how many clubs or weather it’s the fifo guys/women they are still paying….and are paying generously because they can . People always seem to want cheaper , these are not an Asian massage establishment …you can’t compare not the prices . Ultimately you pay for wha5 you actually want. Connection i s perhaps not a priority I’m 10 minutes

Yep, tbh that’s exactly what I’d usually do with wallet, phone etc left in glove box of the car, especially if I’m going into a place for the first time, but in this occasion I didn’t for some reason.

Have to comment on the competition point given the agencies that are around now that will supply strippers & new waitresses ... so many people simply organise a venue or a airbnb & set it up.
