Surcharges becoming illigal

Anybody know whats gonna happen with the surchages in october? Surely the cost will be added to the rate but how much because the shops put around the 10% mark. How else will they try cheat the punters next

Every Business in the nation will put up prices..... DO you think for one minute business will absorb the cost?

The ridiculous thing is for all the people that complained about surcharges its the banks that get the surcharge not the business. Except where u were charging above the merchant fee which was illegal anyway. Of course prices will increase and by more than what the surcharge was...
 
You can always beat the surcharge by choosing a bank that offers free cash withdrawals from specific ATM's and paying with cash....
 
I thought they charged extra 10% as they pay tax on it if it's not cash. Surely the merchant fee is not 10% per transaction. Banks would be super dooper rich. Of course legally they have to pay tax on cash transactions if they earn over 20k or whatever it is.
