Hey, I know this post is from many years ago, but any advice in Kata? Heading there in a few weeks. Is it as simple as walking into any massage shop, or are there specific streets and shops?

I doubt Kata will be any different from the other areas in Phuket, you'll have more trouble with the ladies trying to drag you into the massage shop for boom boom rather than wondering what ones are legit.

Not from my experience, Patong yes, Karon and Kata not so much. I haven’t been back in a few years now so it may have changed.
