FWB works only if you can stick to the "don't get attached". I find with my FWB that though I adore him, know the rules, I have to keep my feelings in check, knowing we would never work if we had a proper relationship. Great we can have what we have, holiday together, the occasional hook up, we never get bored with each other and its always exciting looking forward to our dates.

I have a regular fwb we catchup when it suits us, both live busy lives and have no time to date. His my only, but I don’t mind him seeing other people. Still have respect, communication, honesty and trust as a relationship just without the drama or commitment.

Had a fwb many years ago and it was perfect. We'd dated previously so there was that familiarity and trust. The break up had been reasonably amicable and we still socialised, at times, in the same group. Sometimes we'd just go home together, other times we'd simply call each other.

Yes...many times...varying from same age to much older...there's only been one that wanted more...I couldn't go further as timing was really bad...well it couldn't be worse, considering it was only a few months ago...now here we are in quarantine...lol

Agreed .... all fun and games in FWB until that # metoo poison kicks in (again not mentioning those who genuinely face such abuses, i'm referring more to the false allegations)... especially those that develop it in their workplaces ....in this day and age... it's always safer to just pay for it and get your pleasure in a stress free way ... FWB's are nothing special anyway ... mostly troublesome when one individual starts developing feelings speaking from experience ... no matter how much communication you have it still tends to end up there after awhile ..and if you are already married ... good luck to you trying to enjoy the best of both worlds ... one world will come crashing down soon or later ..
