He was always going back to Hawthorn...and in the end he was forced to!! Simpson has been good but they're not playing for him now...it's time for him to go. The Board needs to make some tough decisions coz we're going nowhere. The list is not strong so it'll be a 'rebuild' for a long time yet! They got rid of the best mid field coach and retained Adam Simpson.
Been a supporter from the start and will continue to be one . Just a bit sad that they can't seem to get it rightIm just really happy that Doob deleted himself. It was getting a bit out of control here. There are a lot of WCE Members like me that have between $1000 and $1200 a year invested in 2 Optus seats, with a 10 year minimum wait list (it took me 11 years and only then because more seats became available at Optus). So none of us are going anywhere while the team is underperforming. We dont have any choice, so may as well turn up and support them.
The maximum available seats for members is around 50 or 55,000 excluding corporate, government hangers on and seats reserved for interstate teams supporters. The rest of the members are people who have paid to be on the wait list but dont have seats. The bit I don't get is that the Eagles have 103,000 members.
People always scream when they can't get Derby tickets and it's always sold out.
Yet for 4 years now the Eagles home crowd averages between 36,000 and 43,000 in a 60,000 seat stadium.
I know there are always reasons some can and can't go, but seems to be a very big non supporting membership base.
Or I'm missing the obvious somewhere.
I stand corrected on seat availability for members. I think the stadium is full at 55000 on fixed seating, but you can google thatThe maximum available seats for members is around 50 or 55,000 excluding corporate, government hangers on and seats reserved for interstate teams supporters. The rest of the members are people who have paid to be on the wait list but dont have seats.
We have been on the bottom of the ladder before, but more recent supporters forget that. This is what supporting a team is all about. The beauty is if someone gives up their seat there are 50,000 people wanting it and they will never get one back until we build a 150,000 seat stadium.Been a supporter from the start and will continue to be one . Just a bit sad that they can't seem to get it right![]()
Will the Bleeding never stop ?Oh well another week of the curse![]()
Been a supporter from the start..will always stick with them .Are you a complaining supporter or a member Obbie?
Vale Simmo, one of our most successful coachesBeen a supporter from the start..will always stick with them
Ill be there at the game to thank him. I am at a loss to undertstand why the Board wouldnt wait till the end of the season. Its not like we are going to improve, just looks vindictive and pandering to the press and a lot of non member floating "supporters". Most of the other teams coaches on the tv tonight were saddenedMutual agreement?
Probably told go now because you will at season’s end.
From a mental health pov a good move on Simpson’s part.
Why coach this weekend, good chance they’ll get thumped by a very big margin.
Will be good to see supporters and players farewell him.
Apart from the past few years a good win %.
Part of the blame lies with player recruitment the coach gets minimal say if at all.
Anyway he walks away with a Premiership, a lot more than many before him.
Yes the eagles flying high!Bring back Cousins, Woosha and all the drugs and you'll have a winning team!
