My beer of choice used to be V.B., preferably from a tap. ( I think all beers are better this way.)

Nowadays it is Strongbow Dry or Bulmers Cider from the tap. More often than not I stick with lemon ice tea or coke (the black stuff, not the white powder.)

Yoda if your liking your Ales look out for a Fullers 1845, it taste great mate. I also like my ESB. All a bit pricey around $8 a stubby but I got around that by buying my own brewery. So the ESB I make now and one called Old freckle Hen really nice
Agreed wholeheartedly, Mr Gooner. The English do magnificent ales. As you say, excessively expensive. I've started brewing my own as well. I go to a microbrewery that set it all up for you so it comes out the other end perfect. Really cheap too. Compare $1.15 per bottle to almost $8 per stubby!
The Germans & the Belgians are the masters however. English have a very "rustic" style at their best. The Germans & Belgians do sophisticated. Their wheat beers are incredible. A Belgian ale named "Duvel" (The Devil) is one of my favourites.
However, for that special occassion spend the cash & buy a magnum of Deus. Its called God for a reason. Its brewed in 2 parts, a beer & a champagne. Retails at just $100. If you can find it.

Actually, I drank a Corona today and it wasn't a bad drop. Nice crisp bite to it but why do so many people stuff twists of lemon in the neck when serving it? That isn't quite as effeminate as drinking alcohol through a straw but it comes dangerously close in my book.

I've only ever drunk beer once since trying it years ago. 3 jugs of VB after i was so smashed i couldnt taste it lol.

I hate the stuff. The smell, the taste. Revolting! People say your palate changes as you mature but beer and wine are just as gross to when i tried them at high school.

Girl's who drink beer are a massive turnoff for me. On par with smokers

Although passion pop mixed with lemonade wasn't bad. Wasn't great either but certainly cheap and effective

Sure. I go to a place called Brews R Us in Greenwood. Nice guys. They'll help you out every step of the way. Your first batch will cost more if you need to buy bottles & it depends on what variety you go for. Have fun!!

Becks is a great beer because it doesn't give you a hang over.
Apparently it has no artificial flavours, colouring etc. because of German purity law of way back. Highly regulated as to what they can put in by the German government.

My favourite is James Boags beautiful Tassie beer.
Also enjoy Tooheys Extra Dry
