Good Luck Saige...your best avenue would be to email the privates and ask for there support.
I have been telling the privates for years to get organised...I suggested two years ago they network put in $20 bucks each a week and employ a professional lobbyist.
I would suggest time has run out for that option.
Make a template for each lady to fill in with the hour they work.(most work days and do not hinder suburbia) there age, how many children, if they have a partner...all the info that makes them real people without identifying themselves. This has to be no more than one page for each lady, and each profile needs to say why they work.You need to remember the politicians in most cases think you are forced to do this.
I would think Porter will try to get the lower house vote in the next two weeks and put to the upper house in the new year for the final vote.
You haven't time for lobby the upper house now, but this could be your best and only chance, which means you have to be organised quickly and you need the support of at least 100 of the privates.

Clients you are going to need to help the privates, spread the word organize the questioneer the politicians will take notice off.
You know as well as I that if the law changes the clients will still try to punt with the privates...what you need to realize if this law gets up the client and the girl can get a two year jail sentence.
They are being shafted in this law and so is the clients choice.
I had my say and there is little more I can do with the politicians that will be effective.
At present the feeling is that the industry will be protected by 40 odd madams.I was effective in getting substantial changes, but I didn't get them to move on iota on allowing private ladies to work out of residences.
How many ladies will be able to afford a commercial rental, how many properties will be available.
The strongest point the privates have is that operating as a independent has never been illegal...this was proven in the high court in the 6o's.
The government have no idea how big the private market is now days and at this stage honestly believe they are protecting woman and protecting the community.
We must have some members with legal and political backgrounds, I urge you to support Saige private network and help these ladies.

Pretty sure that on cracker if the person advertisings email address doesn't finish with .au then it shows as originating from outside Australia. So gmail and hotmail accounts which most would use would show this, so doesn't mean much

We in the industry are not opposed to change and reform however this current legislation reform has not taken in the welfare of the workers in any way, This bill if passed is going to drive the industry underground, put the lives and health of sex workers in danger and when the bill is said to protect the community…are we not part of the community? Do our rights not count?
We are asking for the bill to be put on hold until the SEX WORKERS are consulted and we work together to improve it for the benefit of all. As the bill now stands it will push the industry into one of openness to criminal activity, there will be a rise in street walking which is good for the community or the workers, it will encourage criminal orginizations to take over the industry and the girls. The negative effect of this bill on the community and the sex industry are going to back fire so severely on the government, and the community/public must be aware of this..
We need as sex workers to be heard and have our say, we need to remove the stigma. I and many of us are hardworking, law abiding, tax paying women who choose to do this as a career, We are passionate about reform in the industry and improving standards and conditions for both the community and workers…..so I want to call upon the politicians to sit with a group of us workers and hear what we have to say…..
Women who do sex work need:
* To be recognized as full citizens.
* To be listened to without being judged.
* To be taken seriously.
* To be integrated into the community without fear of being ostracized.
* Their human rights to be recognized and respected.
* The abuse and coercion they are subjected to to be reported as a violation of their integrity.
* To have access to public services without discrimination.
* To have access to work-related social and judical services.
* Their work to be decriminalized.
