I have been watching and reading this thread since a post was reported (not the one you think) and was tempted to lock it several times. So far (although the debate is heated and borderline) I don't feel that it has crossed into "lock it right now" territory. People are entitled to believe according to what they feel is right (which is one of the many advantages of living in this country).

So long as people keep in mind that nobody, ever, changed the ideals of someone else through a discussion on an internet forum then we ought to be able to to have a discussion - even a fairly lively one at that.
