I am a guy looking to move to Melbourne mid this year to work. Given that I will have some spare time at my hands I was thinking of also working as an independent male (straight) escort as a secondary kind of job. I don't beleive i'm the best person to advise you, however I'll give it a crack.
My answers are in blue, below each of your questions.

There are specialized gay & TS brothels but when it comes to "straight male escorts" only the occassional ad pops up. This may not be such a bad thing for you, as it might simply mean less competition rather than no demand.

Start a profile on www.langtrees.com.au and see what results you get, then I suggest another two sites and back it up with a little newspaper advertising.You do need to register as a private to work in Victoria so try an add out in another state and see if you can present yourself well enough to attract enquiry.
