BAA, BAA, BLACK SHEEP (1731)
Though most scholars agree that “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep” is about the Great Custom, a tax on wool that was introduced in 1275, its use of the color black and the word “master” led some to wonder whether there was a racial message at its center. Its political correctness was called into question yet again in the latter part of the 20th century, with some schools banning it from being repeated in classrooms, and others simply switching out the word “black” for something deemed less offensive. In 2011, news.com.au reported on the proliferation of “Baa, Baa Rainbow Sheep” as an alternative

Thank you, Aaron for your very warm welcome and thankyou to Langtrees for your amazing hospitality.

Like homer said, credit cards tend to have more fees and are potentially more harmful in that respect but if you have an overdraw facility on your debit account then that can get you too.

I find when I use my cards for online shopping I get carried away pretty easy.

Credit card def more harmful to your hip pocket. Fees, late fees, interests on late payments, interests on interests....

Debit card, spend what you put in, and if it runs out, end of story.
to true, no credit cards here, splash the cash or go without..

Entirely depends on your self-discipline. To me, credit cards are a useful medium to purchase things I need and/or want. I ALWAYS pay my monthly balance in full on the due date (have a direct debit set up) and have NEVER paid interest on an outstanding balance (because there's never any outstanding beyond the due date).

The frequent flyer points are a bonus but I do not let them influence my purchases, only how I make them (e.g. some cards earn one point per dollar, others only half, so obviously if you can use the first card that works out better). The only card for which I pay an annual fee comes with complimentary travel insurance, so using it for flights, etc. means I save on a more expensive separate insurance policy, even after factoring in the absurd fee airlines charge for using a credit card. So you can certainly make the system work for you if you're disciplined and do your research.

I have actually avoided using debit cards linked to my bank account because I find it scarier that, in case my card details are ever compromised, a fraudster could have access to my own cash instead of the credit card company's (though I would expect they would have similar protections since the same companies operate both types of cards).
