MONDAY NIGHT:
Well, it is a very wet, cold and rainy evening in Canberra. I've been here nearly a week now, and I'm starting to feel like I'm getting the hang of the place

A lot of the reviews on this forum mention whether or not experience matches expectations, so that will be the theme for this lil blog entry....
I will admit, I was more than a little apprehensive about living and working with the same people 24/7. Sure, I'm sociable and friendly and all that jizz, but still... The practicalities of day to day living and working combined with the fact that I haven't lived in a share house environment for quite some years meant that I was a little unsettled to start with. In reality, we are a happy little household and we make a great team. I consider it a great honour and a pleasure to be spending my time with such cool, capable, friendly, staunch, gutsy, sexy women.
Verdict: Experience trumps expectations
I was warned that it was cold here... (please refer previous blog entry if any reader is feeling remotely equivocal about what exactly "cold in Canberra" may mean.) I eagerly anticipated the sub-zero temperatures that are on their way with the full expectation that I would be flailing around on my back....In the snow.... I was half right...
Canberra: the age of entitlement is over. You are not entitled, as a destination, to have sub-zero temperatures without putting out, snow-wise... It's just lazy. Lift your game.
Verdict: Expectations exceed experience
While we're on the well-worn topic of just how completely fricken freezing it is here, I have had the strange and surreal pleasure (?)since being here of scraping ice of a car windscreen at 4am with a bondage paddle. No way did I ever see that one coming.
Verdict: Experience exceeds expectations, on account of being completely unexpected, and kinda funny, even bone tired at 4am.
To be continued, good folks...
