The answer is no. I don't allow ladies I work with to drink white or red wine whilst working as after the 2 nd glass they are a depressive. Far better to drink good champagne of beer as these will lift the spirits and not get you hung over drunk.

I know lots of guys, actually most that seem to like strip venues but personally sitting in a room with other guys drinking alcohol looking at girls dancing holds no appeal although I very much respect the girls business sense in making the most of this opportunity. I guess we're all different and the skill is understanding yourself and what works for you so that you don't go to the wrong venue and get disappointed. I recommend keeping an open mind and trying lots of different styles of venues and experiences until you find what works for you. There's something for everyone out there.
 
Some Canberra roads will be closed this weekend due to a triathlon.

Triathletes competing in the T3X Endurance Series will take to roads around Canberra this weekend - which means in some areas, motorists won't.

Temporary road closures in Acton, Parkes, Civic, Bruce and Aranda this weekend will allow for seven triathlon events to take place around Lake Burley Griffin.

Parkes Way will be closed westbound between Kings Avenue and the Glenloch interchange from 3am to 6pm on Saturday and 3am to 2pm on Sunday.

Gungahlin Drive northbound between Glenloch Interchange and Ginninderra Drive overpass, and Caswell Drive northbound between Gungahlin Drive and Glenloch Interchange will also be closed from 1.30pm to 6pm on Saturday and 3am to 2pm on Sunday.

A further five road closures will be enforced from 3am to 1pm on Saturday and 8am to 6pm on Sunday.

This includes:

  • Parliament Drive between Federation Mall east and Kings Avenue
  • King George Terrace between Parkes Place west and Walpole Crescent
  • Walpole Crescent between King George Terrace and Kings Avenue
  • Federation Mall between Queen Victoria Terrace and Parliament Drive
  • Queen Victoria Terrace between Federation Mall and Walpole Crescent.
Barriers and diversion signs will be erected to alert traffic.
