I'm wondering if Canberra will become the Nations Capital Pigs!! I saw these shakes on a morning television show and they looked disgusting then. What is wrong with people that they have to indulge themselves in the most dramatically calorie laden shakes ever known to human kind.
I think the post by Phoebe sum's it up "draws massive crowds in an otherwise boring Canberra" . Welcome to the nations obesity capital. xo A

I just spent 6 months in Her Majesties Prison of Canberra people are leaving in droves, the APS is getting rid of jobs still, as is the local Territory government is too, private sector jobs are drying up, The rental vacancy rates are climbing, The shopping hours on the weekends are a joke, closing at 4pm on a Sunday come on its 2015 not 1954, no wonder why people flee to Sydney on the weekends, The Canberra Centre is a local hangout now for beggars at every exit/entrance, Civic on a Friday and Saturday night is littered with deal bags from Dope/Ice and Ecstasy and is deadly to walk around more so than walking through Kings Cross in Sydney, The pub scene is devoid, Restaurants charge Sydney harbor prices for a view of Lake Burley griffin in Kingston, what a joke, People whinge about Magpies and the heat in summer, the cold in winter FFS people, the road system is well not bad, when people can work out how to merge 101 come on you lot are degree educated how hard is this skill... Fyswick and Mitchel as red light areas Hmmmmmm what a joke, as is $400 per hour once again Perth prices not even Sydney rates there to essentially unload in an industrial area. .05 cents for plastic bags come on what next a fart tax, oh and now paying to pay on londsale street right up to 10:30PM on weeknights just as that area was starting to kick off the local government kicks it in the teeth, Women in Canberra think they are something because they have the upper hand in the dating game, wake up honeys you all sit in cafes and eateries with your sisters and girlfriends chatting thinking you are all that, wont let men talk to you, but got mobiles all in your hands at the cafe, I bet later on these same women have a vibrator in same said hand, Canberra girls are more snobby than the girls / women that work in Harrods perfumery and they are well and truly stuck up there... Seriously Canberra you are a joke, the only good thing about Canberra is you can earn over $800 without loosing you pants... Rant over!!

Wow! What a huge reaction! Seriously, it can't be that bad. There's fabulous bush walks, it's close to the ski fields, and not too far from the coast, easy to get around, a cultural capital with theatre, film & art, just lacks connection me thinks. Let's face it , you have to make your own life and be responsible for it Phoebe & MrJwhite. xo A

It is... A few people I was working with are selling up and moving to Gold Coast, back to melb/sydney and even perth because of what Canberra lacks life... Working ladies love to tour there as they get booked out due to that fact of women there don't put out, so its either jump in your car and drive to Sydney for an intimate weekend, or stay in Canberra and take a number to wait for the touring working ladies there... one WL I know puts her dates up for Canberra and within 1-2 hours she is booked out... .

Mr White is correct about the EL1 deal, and or high up in Defence. like Mr white is 99.5% agreed..
 
Who'd have thought the Nation's Capital & its apparent lack of life would bring such debate on what is typically a sex forum. I might add with such sweeping generalisations & stereotypical ideas.

For someone who spent a portion of my youth here & returned later for work purposes, I frequently refer to Canberra as an enclave....a place or group that is different in character from those surrounding it.

Canberra has many fantastic attributes if one cares to dig under the rubbish but as I'm a big believer in free thought, each to their own & that's all I can say.
 
I was just in Canberra for a wedding and will say I enjoyed the city
Every city has its charms and detractions I mean we West Aussies have Perth Which has many downsides when compared to Melbourne say But has better beaches and friendlier drivers I mean they just love to get close to you really really close to you :)

you were happy as you knew you were leaving after the wedding.. Perth is okay, coffee is a rip compared to Melbourne. and yes I will agree...
