Well it's good that you came along to correct it then
@Spike about time we had some conflict in this forum. Nope I didn't read this one since I didn't have time so I read a bit then came back tonight to read the rest. But It tick me off that I thought the oldies were going to have to fight the frontliners for food. This is what a forum is for feedback and talk.
"My opinion only , but i would be very surprised if there are many "hoarders in that frontline lot" ...these are elderly respectful people who understand the situation and have been burnt already , so they know what it is like ."
Eeerr how did Frontline ppl hoarder become elderly respectful ppl? That doesn't make sense to me. Of course elderly ppl are respectful due to their time of up bringing compared to our age, and of course they know the feeling of getting burnt at the supermarket. These frontliners will have a batch that will buy up only what they need but you also have the ones that, buy up for the ppl around them family and friends who don't have special access. And that alone will again drain the supply more for the desperate ppl around that really need it. I believe there will be those that will shop every day through the week till everyone in their circle are stocked up well. I hope everyone will start only buying what they will need and stop this panic buying to get every thing back to normal but atm I don't see that happening and Frontliners or not this panic and outbreak will test their limits to keep calm or not.
Hhhm lets see better loan rates, pension, free or discounted food, travel opportunities, better health care system, their word carries more weight then any citizen does on a piece of paper, sounds like you know a lot more since you're sounding pretty mighty there. Care to elaborate your findings?
"you have just answered the whole problem right there"
Yup exactly it doesn't make things any better, but the damage is already done. It's not only Coles, Woolworths have also cut down the amount of things ppl can buy at a shop. Perfect example was Costco on TP in the news, ppl saw others leave with TP drop it in their cars and go back to line up for TP again. Unless someone has a distinct appearance they can keep going to the same shop a few times to reload their carts. So even tho they have that limit in place it still doesn't stop ppl from hoarding. Im looking forward to the day all this crazy panic buying stops and the prices of food drop down back to their normal prices.
