Not being sexist so please hear me out...

When compared to a male a female seems to be given a lot more respect,

A man when seeing a lady entering a building he might door for her but would he open it for another man? probably not.

When seing her carrying something heavy, he would probably offer to help but if it was another man, probably not.

Seeing a lady standing by herself on the freeway next to a broken down car he would probably stop, but if it was another man, probably not.

If helping in the garden would he make her push the lawn mower?, probably not.

Sitting on a full bus he would probably offer his seat to a lady, to another man, probably not.

So is it better to be a lady and not a man?, probably not.

Why?? Think about it,

Although most men give ladies a lot more respect it is a lot harder to be a lady then a man because,

Sadly most jobs still think of the man as being the better leader.

It costs a lot more be a lady then a man, theres the cost of extra clothing such as bras and stockings etc... when was the last time you saw the price of make up?

Some men still expect thier lady to do the cooking, cleaning washing etc, even after a full day of work.

When it comes to having children, it may only take a man a few minutes of pleasure to plant his seed but it is the lady that has to carry that seed for 9 months and then try to push it through her legs.

I`m sure there`s a lot more reasons why some think it is better to be a female instead of male and vice versa.


But would you really want to swap??

Well, I think it's a pleasant surprise to hear the respect that you would offer a lady, but let me tell you...as a woman, it's not really that often that doors are opened, heavy loads are carried and road side problems tended to.
Actually, nowadays I think it's something that is mainly seen in the movie's rather than experienced in real life.
I do agree that in my more youthful days, gentlemanly behavior was something that I enjoyed on a more frequent basis, depending on how short my skirt was or how much cleavage I happened to be showing at the time... however, as I've matured and my skirts are more sensible and my bust tucked away, I must admit that I've seen a dramatic decline in chivalry!

So, is it really that women receive more respect or is it that men are looking for a reason to introduce themselves to a nice looking lady? Does a man like the idea of coming to the aid of a woman in distress, so long as she catches his eye to begin with?

You have brought up some excellent points on the drawbacks of being a woman, such as extra expense with make up etc, but not all women choose to wear make up.

You have acknowledged the comparison with carrying a child, but there is no greater experience than feeling a being of your own creation grow inside you, kick for the first time and actually truly know someone before you ever meet them face to face.

You have avoided the most impacting inconvenience of being a woman and that's the whole period thing every month, and the extra expense and trauma that it entails, but fair call that you've avoided that, we don't even like talking about it! Lol!

Even with all this, i'd never want to swap...but thanks for the offer! Lol ;-) !!!

I love being a lady and would never want to swap well not indefiently anyways! Another point you could make billybones is that its more acceptable for a girl to be a tomboy and enjoy guys things than a man to be interested in girly stuff.
