Hi Peta,
I know you are looking for the ladies perspective here but how about one from the men too.
I think it is important that any relationship between a punter and a W/L not be treated any different from another relationship.
At the end of the day it is all about being open and honest with each other. If you can be like that then you can make it work really well.
To put a little perspective on it, I recently started a relationship with a W/L. While its only been a couple of months and so doesn't begin to verge on "marriage" as your title asks, that does not make it anything less.
My partner is still working and I quite enjoy that she does, having the perspective on the industry from someone inside is quite interesting and so I enjoy all of her stories.
What is more important though is that at the end of the day both of us are there for each other, all jobs having their ups and downs means that it is of particular importance to be available for each other when we need.
Your question on "Is it love?", I see no reason why it need be different from any other relationship. Sure there are different challenges but when two people feel like that about one another why should it stop them from feeling happy about being with each other? Are not all relationships about bringing two peoples lives together to share?
Would love to hear your thoughts on the topic and hope that I have shed a little bit of light.
