I think its because in that space we are a "nonchalant confidante" that wont share their stuff to Aunty Doreen at Christmas.

We put so much effort into keeping up appearances at work or home just to keep the peace.

So, when we have a space with zero long-term stakes, we let our guard down. Wanting to be heard without someone trying to fix or judge us is a HUGE human need.
