Perth boy

I need help on this.

What do you buy a girl that has just about everything.

Don't buy her anything, do something instead. Take her hot air ballooning (obviously a voucher for when it's winter), sunset yacht cruise + dinner etc. Does she like cars or any other sports? Adrenalin has some really good ideas. V8 supertaxi rides, not fast by all means but faster than most people are used to, rally school etc.

Once a few years ago I did arrange to have sunset dinner on the beach.

I arranged a mate to dress up in a suit and collect us from home. He took us to the beach, got the old fold up table out and placed a white table cloth on it. Cracked open a bottle of bubbles and served us red rooster.

Got a lot of strange looks

But, what was your wife's response? That is what counts. Strange looks could be "why didn't I think of that?" or envy.

The strange looks was from the people talking past. She loved it.

Heaps of ideas like that! Sunset dinner on board a yacht in a sheltered bay at rotto will also score big brownie points.

Beach dinners are unusual in Perth but all over SE Asia it's pretty common!

Do you both get much time at home???
How about simply making her breakfast in bed, a rose to wake up to and a massage from you...
Just because we automatically think we have to spend money sometimes the best things are free of cost but not free of effort...
Me personally I would love that

Sound set of ideas, and general philosophy.

Thoughtful gifts are always well received.
As a birthday gift a client had an artist paint a portrait of me from photos.
It's a beautiful piece by a fantastic artist. Every time I walk past it I smile.

I would have to agree with this one. If my partner went with something like this I'd be stoked, especially something like sky diving or something. =)

buy her a voucher for westfields

Vouchers say to me, I couldn't be bothered investing time or energy to discover a gift which you would truly want so I bought this instead. Also, I'm playing it safe and letting you choose your own.

A gifts let's the receiver know they are understood, valued, loved and special.

Alexandra thats correct I have never brought a voucher for anyone. Its the easy way out. Knowing someone has put some thought into it is better than the gift its self.

Anyway I have arranged some good red wine to be relabeled with a nice photo of us in Florance and a nice message on it. Having it packed in a wooden box, six bottels and fill the box with dried flowers.

Thanks to all for your help.

Alex is so right on everything she writes on this forum.

Once again, words of wisdom.
