Managers work with paper whereas a leader works with people. Leading by example, are not afraid to encourage people to step up, catch people doing good things and praise them publicly. They are solution focused rather than apportioning blame, they encourage autonomous decisions - right or wrong make a decision! If its wrong find a solution!! They dont believe they cant be replaced, encourage and reward growth and dont micro manage.I agree....
Good leaders don't give orders they are jot willing to carry out themselves......and that does not mean once upon a time.... but carry out in the present once in a while and lead by example.
Also they don't back people into a corner as a main strategy for control. As if people would ever be bothered completing a whole conversation with such a joke if they weren't in charge.........
True leaders leave a legacy of great potential behind in their wake - happily!!
