What happens when professional and personal entwine?

Hi,

Late last year there was a question posted by a male forum member asking for advice because he developed real feelings for the sex worker he regularly booked. I read with interest all kinds of advice he received, some encouraging him to take that big step and ask her out, some discouraging that he is booking a girlfriend experience, not finding a girlfriend. So far I haven't seen any follow up post's from him with how everything worked out.

So I got to wondering if anyone has ever found themselves as a punter or a sex work provider in that space where the personal and the professional entwine and did that end in a real life romance or was it a great big oopsy daisy?

Just don’t go there, as its a path for disappointment.. These Working ladies, know the game, trying to bait you to return. Its all about the cash . No money no honey.
The thought of thousands of other guys , maybe even a hidden std..,No man wants a Bonnie Blue..

I think a responsible sex worker is one of the safest women to have sex with as they use condoms and they get tested for STI's regularly. Ally Langdon interviewed Bonnie Blue on a Current Affair (Australian TV) and gave a really candid interview and comes across as empowered by her choices and I don't think her career means she is not entitled to a loving, respectful, trusting relationship, sex work is just a job.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

It usually is a path to disappointment - you only stand a chance if you can accept sex work as a job like any other job. There is a big difference between paid sex and genuine intimacy with a special person.
I have seen a few relationships between a lady and a client. They always start off promising and turn nasty as soon as the honeymoon period is over.
Client or girl - my advice to both sides: don't go there, 90% it will end in tears.

100%

My worst mistake was Carole who owned Carolina's Natural Therapy in Adelaide.

I got involved with her and we lived together on and off. She turned out to be a raging alcoholic and problem gamber who became physically abusive.

Very low point in my life
She sounds like a troubled person - and from your post -seems like the relationship would have been doomed whether she were a sex worker or not...

I feel client - sex worker relationships depend on the individuals - if you take the actual 'sex working' out of the equation - do thier personalities, interests and ultimate life goals match up... if its just a sex thing - than whether your a sex worker or not - the relationship would never work out as a real relationship needs more than sex.

Sex workers are real people, and yes whilst they are working for a living - its not different to hooking up with your local barmaid... they still flirt with you for your money.... if they choose to see you outside of work in thier own time and dont charge you - then isnt that saying something...

I feel its hard for 'punter's' to tarnish all industry girls the same - some girls do have genuine connections with clients - and whilst yes alot of relationships end sour - they likely would have ended that way even if the girl wasnt working...

All depends on the person. I had a relationship with a massage girl and things worked out great for us. We were together for 12 year's, the best 12 year's of my life . It definitely wasn't a mistake and she wasn't after me for my money, as I don't have any 😆 So it's not always about getting into you're wallet or playing games, sometimes it really can turn into love.

Very troubled indeed. She tried to kill her ex-husband, I was told later and he was in a wheelchair!

She died circa 2010.
