Weight-Loss & Perfection (Lads & Lasses)

From over-hearing a few conversations around the club (ladies and gentlemen alike), I have written a post in the Beauty & Health section outlining considerations for weight-loss.

If we were all “perfect” as to some ideal in our minds or societal depictions, then the world would be incredibly dull and somewhat scary… what is real in reality?

Real
is “imperfect”.
Would you want someone to speak to your child, sibling, or friend in the way you speak to yourself? Do you look at your friends and negatively reflect on their laugh lines or signs that they’ve been alive in this world?

Let’s take a moment to treasure the fact that we have legs and arms, instead of seeing the flaws in their shape or outward appearance.

It’s a journey ✨
The relationship we have with ourselves, our body, and our outside world —-
Health is a major aspect of wealth, and something we sometimes take for granted.

This is such a beautiful reminder, honestly. I think everyone in this industry has overheard those same conversations, and it really does make you reflect on how hard we can be on ourselves. You’re so right — if we ever spoke to our friends or family the way we speak to ourselves, we’d be horrified. Yet somehow we think it’s fine when it’s directed inward.

Real is imperfect, and that’s what actually makes people interesting. No one remembers someone because their stomach was flat — they remember how they laughed, how they made them feel, how they carried themselves. We’re so quick to pick ourselves apart, but we don’t judge the people we love in the same way, so why do we do it to ourselves?

Health truly is a form of wealth, and so much of that comes from having a kinder mindset toward our own bodies. Thank you for posting this — it’s such an important reminder to appreciate being alive, being capable, and being human.

I absolutely love this reminder ❤️ it's best to strive for health, not perfection!

I have lost a lot of weight recently, and I get questioned "why" I did so a lot. But my goal was never to be skinnier, it was to be healthy. I had a medical issue that made my body unable to process things properly, and now that I've been working on that, the weight fell off naturally! I feel a lot better not because I'm skinnier, but because I'm healthier. Health is wealth!

Health, wellbeing and being the best you should be your goal. It’s easy to fall into bad habits and not look after or neglect yourself…….lord I know.

Excess weight has negative health effects, however if you implement small, positive, healthy changes, then possitive changes will occur.

Be your best self!

@Faye Foxx you look amazing, but you always have.

I lost 6 kilos living in Bucharest and living on a peasant diet... plus living on the 5th floor and taking the steps every time, everyone walks as you don;t need a car like we do here in Australia... so keeps you fit... plus the streets are full of Romanian women and well you all know the rest.. LOL
