Walking Tracks around Canberra

Potentially is the magic word right there... i actually loved the first aid course and my thought was when i have time in the future become a volunteer.. but ive never had to face a bad situation so honestly i dont know how i would react, i would like to think i would be calm but lets be real sometimes common sense flies out the window in a situation, so fingers crossed if/when i am faced with one .. i could handle it :)

If you turn off Barry Drive onto Frith Rd (there is a sign CSIRO To Dryandra St) then keep on Frith Rd until you come to a little carpark beside a substation, here: Dropped pin
Near Frith Rd, Acton ACT 2601

From there there is a walking track up around Black Mountain. I think it is a nice walk.

im sure i have done the Black mountain track that way, it is really nice :)

This is what im wearing if i walk hills in Summer, dammmmmmm snakes lol

Yesterday I walked up Mt Ainslie and the dust was insane, by the time I got to the top the wind was really bad, it was actually quite scary because the trees were bending and all you could hear was the cracking of branches.... let’s just say I ran down more than I walked lol

@Madam Rachy way to go, I always wanted to do that, but I have this magnet thing going on that Magpies love to swoop me and that area is full of em, I am not bothered by dust, or snapping trees, but Magpies sh*t me no end, .. thats why I stuck to lake area...

i herd a story about Mt Ainslie not sure if its true ( i will Google now lol ) BUT i herd that in all of Australia Mt Ainslie has the largest amount of Huntsman Spiders in an area? i really hope thats not true @Phoebe do you know anything about this xox

No, I dont mind spiders, snakes I can cope with, I can even cope with bats, but Magpies... Please lets eradicate Australia of this pesky bird.

Don't worry about the spiders , the snakes eat them😂
But seriously unless you go digging in piles of bark then you should be safe.

Hi Madam Rachy😊
If you climb the Camels Hump option 2 is the best, it's mostly firetrail and then a rock
scramble at the very end, 6hrs is max , but depending on how fit you are.
Also look up lego land in Namadgi, great for pic taking
