Victoria's Prostitution Laws Questioned.

I saw this piece on the Online Opinions Forum and thought some of our operators may like to comment on it.

It seems legalising the industry in Victoria didn't achieve much of benefit to the ladies and opening a new business is still subject to the veto of nimby councils.

Legalization with regulated legislature would protect w/l for sure. It would stop the backyard operations.

mmmmmmmm what about NZ? Always thought it was a good move to legalize it. I am aware that IR (NZ tax department) is more than happy to legalize it but I did hear that the health service especially for w/ls from overseas has improved not to forget the w/l union plus the fact that with legalization w/ls finally get a voice combined with rights.

Ayyyeeeee if you look at some Europen countries, the W/L have health care and other services, they are look upon as a professional service provider.

Yes, Europe is most definitely a step ahead of us when it comes to the industry. Let's hope Australia joins the 21st century rather sooner than later.
