What is it with some people. Why if you mention to some people that you have something to do with the adult industry you get labeled a pervert or a porn freak. And usually behind your back. I am proud of what i do. I think these people are narrow minded. If i get judged this way and its not the first time how do these people judge prostitutes. We all have jobs people should have respect for that.

You know people whom riddacule others for what they do as a living are ,narrow minded. As well those even maybe the best customers for that type of industry. They could be ashamed of it in thier minds so they feel they must riddacule you to make themselfs feel better. I feel its a cool industry ,even though I know nothing of getting involved in it. G-DAY buddies one and all, never worry what other think .as it is there opinion and they are entitled to it. don't be offended by it as we r all different and have different views. we all walk our own path, i have learned this myself. it takes a great person to be proud of what they do regardless of what others say.if u enjoy it and u r not hurting ppl then i say good on u. no matter what we all do or dont do.i have been on both sides of the track u could say and i know what u mean . and i can tell u r still proud of what u do . good on u and keep ur chin up buddy. after all u r the only person u need answer too

I know it's not fair to be prejudged by someone who doesn't really know enough to be judgemental - but if they have no contact with the industry then all they know is what others (freinds, church, media etc) have told them. Which is likely to be negative. Unless you want to have a long conversation explaining the world to them my advice would be to try and maintain your privacy as much as possible. You have a right to it. Don't expect too much of people and you'll be disappointed less often!

Sorry to hear someone gave you a hard time though. Their attitude says more about them than you.

Amen to both these remarks.

One of the truly great things about this country is that most of us treat our fellow Australans as equals regardless of their social status, occupation or wealth. We do not let archaic social customs like class distinction get in the way.

Keep your tail up, Maltycat, you obviously met one of the exceptions to the rule and it really isn't worth getting your whiskers in a knot over a few narrow minded twits.

Thanks guys. I think some people do lived sheltered lives. So anything outside there comfort zone shocks them. I dont judge them and if they judge me that is there choice. I am happy with my choices in life, and it good to know others out there feel the same.
