I got a deep question for y'all, if you turned your phone off for a week and didn't contact ANYONE who would come looking for you

I think some wl turn their phone off for a while to get peace and rest or sometimes I wonder if they are ok.
If you meant regarding anyone turning off their phone for a week, a week maybe short. Your parents or someone close to you may come looking for you.
Plus I wonder if u did turn off your phone for a week, and when u turned it back on, would there be messages waiting or is there a time limit and the technology would give up trying to send the messages through.

Family of origin, more than a week.
Kids more than a week.
No pets so no sniffing around looking for dinner.
Closest friend would ring and leave a message, very likely need longer than a week.
My boss would call around because... work. Probably after a fortnight because I'm out and about by myself and haven't put my timesheets in.
Anyway...

Possibly no one, but the scam callers might get frustrated....
I might add that I enjoy the challenge of scam callers. The time I waste with them is less they have with vulnerable people.

Accident scam calls about being involved in a car accident I say I don't have a car, I ride a horse....

Solar Panel scams I string them along then say I didn't know solar panels could be installed on submarines but I'm looking for fly screens....or I don't have a roof I'm between floors in a high-rise apartment....

The longer I'm on the call the more hopeful they become in getting a good payoff then become irate when they realise I'm wasting their time.

My favourite is letting them talk first then I ask what is their relation to the deceased., long pause...."This is a crime scene and you're ringing the deceased phone, what is your relation to the deceased?"

So yeah if I didn't have my scam callers my phone is mostly silent, no fun in that....

After their spiel I politely ask them are their parents happy with their job choice.

Usually there is a prolonged silence followed by a hang up or sometimes a FU.

As you say they pray on vulnerable people.

I find if I answer my phone for scam calls the scam calls increase.

Correct, sometimes it is a robo call then if answered it is followed by text and call scams. For me, personally, I enjoy wasting their time which is less time they can target the vulnerable.

(Just a post note I find the calls can drop off too once I have played with a few.)

Left my phone on silent for half a day and my daughter rang my flat mate to double check I was alright haha ... no peace when your a mumma but always grateful to know one is loved.
