These freezing nights! Is the Carbon Tax working to well?

It has been shockingly cold this past fortnight All since the carbon tax
Should we now bring in a new tax to warm the place up a bit?

I reckon they brought in the Carbon Tax because they knew our Winters were getting colder and the Summers warmer. We then need to use more power to keep warm in Winter and cool in Summer, so why not add some tax to power to bring in more money to waste on sending our Armed Forces to far away places, just like America told us to? I suppose we'll all get charged Carbon Tax for breathing out Carbon Dioxide, but we won't get a rebate if we plant a few trees !!

if you look at the synergy website and note the difference in price for green electricity (electricity generated from green sources like solar/wind/hydro) compared to coal electricity, it is still costs the same amount more to go green pre and post carbon tax.

this tax was meant to increase the viability of green energy solutions which it has failed to do. the tax is not forcing the big polluters to lower their carbon footprint when they can just pass the cost down

If I was on a green electricity account I would leave They increased their per unit price by as much as the coal using system As you say Harmonious the price is inequitable Originally people paid a premium to do the right thing now they are to be slugged for doing exactly what the tax was put in for The green accounts should be rewarded

I don't know if it'll make a WL squirt but it's sure causing many people to shit themselves unnecessarily.
