OK lets leave the issues bout punting aside for a sec. The ohter night settled down to watch some educational shows which i taped from SBS.ABC2 ,turned on telly...nothing .Turned twisted and pushed every button plug and cavle i could see result.....no screen.TV wouldnt turn on thru HDD TUNER or on its on.contemplated calling ina TV repair man as ive got a 46" TV and cant really move it easily.went to bed early,missing out on HOME N WAY,bugga a double episode,bout MADDIE and her baby,KYLYE and SOPHIE' issues.Woke up and looked thru Nett for repairman , and read some FAQ on telly probs.One such prob same as mine........turned on telly no screen.....the response was to turn off telly for couple minutes then turn back on .......whicj I did ....result TV' s working again like there eas nothing wrong .So no need to call xpensive repairman ........Telly's bout 3yrs old 46" LED not connected to Nett so theres no virus probs.Only thing i can see thru openings in back cover ,with telly off theres little green light flashing away?? been 2 days now and telly hasnt missed abeat Been able tko watch HOME N AWAY and BEAUTY N THE GEEKS.......YAY!!!!!!! SO any idea wat jhappened????
 
Well, I know we in Canberra were told to retune ABC & SBS yesterday (20/11/14): http://retune.digitalready.gov.au

This process has been rolling out across the country. You can check the date for your location on that site.

Though if just switching it off and on fixed your glitch, it probably wasn't that I would guess.
 
thanks XNLC over here in the WEST weve had digital TV some time now ,my prob is that TUES its working WED its not THURS its working got me stumped
 
maybe the tv didn't pay his protection money to Joe Hocky :-) so Joe disconnected him for 24hrs :-)

Yes, so have we but they're shuffling some channels along the spectrum or whatnot across the country so we've had to retune our sets.

But yes, your TV's symptoms don't seem to correlate with that.
 
That's so odd :/ but stuff like that tends to happen to me quite a bit lol I think I'm technologically impaired :p
