Hi maryanne, im totally stumped. this is going to sound stupid, im on contraception and have had two sessions of unprotected sex in my private time, its only been a week and i look and feel pregnant (in a week) this is not the first time this has happened ive had pregnacy tests at various clinics and all were negitive. My stomach swells quite noticably, to tell the truth i cant handle the strain on my brain heaps of quires but no answers got any suggestions and ps im leaking milk

Tony I'm a midwife...it is extremely unlikely that you are pregnant,you certainly would have no symptoms in a week!!! Pregnancy is possible on the pill but unlikely unless you have had a stomache upset and have been vomiting or had dirrhoea,or missed a pill.The symptoms you describe can be a side effect of the pill in some rare cases,:angel12: remember they are artificial hormones. If you are pregnant you would be more than a week with those symptoms. If you are still worried I'd suggest a trip to a gynaecologist who would be able to put your mind at rest .Good luck.
 
I have had 3 children now, on each pregnancy there was no noticeable "swelling" of any type until almost 6 months along.
This has been true of my girlfriends as well.

Interestingly my husband told me I was pregnant each time, when we worked out the estimated time of conception with the doctor we found that he knew no more than a couple of days after conception. When I ask him how he knew he just smiles and says "dreams".
 

I agree with Julie... Each of my pregnancies, I KNEW i WAS pregnant within DAYS....lITERALLY, BEFORE the period was even due.
