Silly games we played as kids

I guess its getting rarer now with kids living in cotton wool and virtual realities but who played silly and even what would now be considered sheer stupidity based games

One we played as kids if in Geraldton was down the wharf (Even though it cost me my thunderbird bike) You tied a long rope to the back of your bike generally the carrier
and the other end to a bollard Get up a full head of steam and ride off the end of the wharf jumping off midair before impact See who could get out the farthest

I was doing well till someone untied the rope from the bollard Never saw that bike again Cost me many months pocket money and a good tanning

So whats your fave or most stupid childhood game

As a kid riding my bicycle down a steep hill with a ramp at the bottom of the hill to see how far I could take of into the air (even when crashing and grazing myself numerous times, and shirtless, on those hot summer days).

And when you turned up at school the more cuts and bruises the better
Oh I wish I had the same pain threshold I had at 12 yrs

Ahoy making Bolt BomBs was always good fun, throwing darts at each other they where painful.
But the real good fun came with firecrackers, we would blow up anything including mailboxes LOL
I can understand why the authorities banned firecrackers but, they where so much fun LOL

We used to dowse tennis balls in some sort of gas and then light them and roll them down the street.

I dunno, we seemed to enjoy it. Ironically, now I actually enjoy video games.

Make u nail lacky guns.
then proceed to fire off the nails playing cowboys and indians .
then came chlorine bombs

It's probably outlawed in schools today But brandy & British bulldog were fave lunch time pastimes

british bulldog was rugby league; stacks-on-the-mill was rugby union!

:joyful:

I was in primary school when that Gladiators show came out... it was a bit of a hit with us at school... We'd hop on the flying fox bar or the monkey bars and you'd have to go out and meet your opponent in the centre and then try and get them off the monkey bars.... Teachers caught on and it got banned pretty quickly....

It wasn't horrendeously dangerous. I've done more dumb shit as an adult...
