In consultation with the adults, they should be able to make their own decision on non-life threatening decisions. They do need guidance, lots of it.

No I don't have teens but plenty of my friends do & I use to be one ;-P

The should be given boundaries but not really strict. My mom was so strict and I automatically rebelled. Then I figured out she was right about everything
