This question was brought up to work today and it got me curious about why certain services have the names they do and how they got them.

A few examples:

Why is anal called greek?

Why/how did Italian sex get that name? (Italian; Sex in which a man places his penis between a woman's butt cheeks (without penetration) and slides it up and down until ejaculation)

Why/how did Spanish sex get that name? (Spanish; When a man places his penis between a woman's breasts and slides it up and down until ejaculation)

It makes sense that these things have nicknames/code words for the use of inline advertising and general discussions as it would be easier and more discrete to say the nickname rather than explain the service. But why are they all named after different ethnic groups?

If anyone knows why or finds anything on this it would be interesting to know how these names came about for those services.

Why is anal sex called Greek?

Like many ancient cultures Greek men lived two lives. Women were for family and homestead, men were intelligent companions who could understand and share true passions. Not only sex, but friendship, philosophy, culture and war. Men typically continued these relationships throughout their lives, were used to succeed in political and social stature. Greece is probably mostly identified with this because of Alexander the Great, but it was a standard of their culture for generations. The Greeks were fierce warriors and a lot of modern warfare is based on their theories, not to mention systems of government and culture. Let's not forget the Olympics, where physical strength and endurance was put to contest and remains the same today.

So an entire culture based on the strength of the passions of two men together has determined the destiny of most of what we experience in life today in the western world.
