Hey all! Just hopping on to share the news that I'm going to be flying over to Adelaide 16th-19th November to present a peer-peer workshop at Scarlet Alliance's National Forum. I'm really honoured and excited to be talking about something that is really close to my heart that I always eagerly support my coworkers with whenever needed- Emotional Recovery After a Bad Booking.
I'm getting organised and preparing my presentation and some activities, and will have handouts that I can email to you if you can't make the session. If you can't make it over to Radelaide for the occasion, no sweat! Most sessions will be available via zoom. Scarlet Alliance National Forum is for sex workers only and while tickets are free, they do require registration and vetting to ensure you are a current or past worker in the industry.
I can't wait to soak up some information and network within the community- I've never attended a National Forum before, and of course I'm throwing myself into the deep end by presenting! If you're going to be there, send me a message so I have a familiar face to hover around! hah.
I'm also really proud to share that I've been nominated for a couple of Sex Worker Community Recognition Awards too (Best Brothel/Establishment Worker, Fan Favourite). I won't be able to attend the awards night on November 4th for this one sadly, but it's so nice to be nominated (second year running too, woo hoo!).
