Yes, roadside soliciting is not a thing in Perth. A while back it was happening a bit too frequently.
A name and shame campaign was used to discourage the practice. Anyone caught would have their details published on the front page of the newspaper.

Have had lots of good experiences an encounters, these are the recommended pick up spots .. you need to have an eye for the pick ups , they don’t just stand around but if you know what your looking for they’re out there and hanging around .

Yeah, reading it back, “pick-up spots” sounds a bit more serial-killery than intended. I mean places where adults actually mingle and conversations happen — not lurking at the Uber rank with the hazards on.
