I don't think an agenda or anything sinister in blocking.
It's the roster area for advertisers, so shop just post roster for the day and block, same done everyday and same for some other advertisers on the daily roster thread.
Makes it easy for us to look at 1 spot and 1 entry for the day only of who is on.
Then all the discussions of who and what and where and how fake can be left to all the other threads.

More so that any reviews can't be leaved on their thread of advertising, so a little harder for people to see any reviews.
Other shops have a running thread with their daily roster posted, so if one scrolls through the thread they can see what people are reviewing if they choose too.
