You are 100% correct, but no guarantee of what?

Since day 1 it has always been said the vaccine will not stop you getting covid. But it will reduce the severity and hopefully keep people out of hospital.
Am the same, triple, but do I go for 4th?
All about choice I guess, which was really the big issue previously when choice was not a big part of it.
Once in my life I did get a flu shot, got the worst flu ever, never got the needle or the flu again.
So who knows.

I had no problem getting the 3rd, no interest in getting the 4th though.

Everyone around me has had it at some stage, I have so far avoided it, even with it in the house on 2 separate occasions.
 
Had the 4th then 3 days later (from house mate) Covid - in bed for 3 days.
Now concerned that May need a 5th

It was originally touted as a ‘game changer’ and 90% effective against transmission.
Slowly changed the rhetoric since then
Flu shots are the quickest way to get the flu 😆
 
I've had them all (including flu). Now waiting until the Omicron specific vaccine is released. Latest information suggests this will be in August.
 
Inoculation has been done for get-aways remaining as it were Boosters it's an incredible measurement people's require it

Talking with my daughter yesterday re: vax status, who is a Dr working in Melbourne.
Basically she said...
1. Due to development/test/production time there is a lag between variant and Vax. I.e. the Omicron vax will be BA.1, we are now BA.5
2. Vax is about 50% effective at this time, esp. for vulnerable; and helps reduce ICU/Death (flu vax is about 70%)
3. Vax is pointless for < 25y.o. as the side effect risk is more than than disease
4. Vax does not stop spread, masks help IF used properly

Vaccines do not stop you catching the virus.
Vaccines more than likely offer a placebo effect.
New variants will make the vaccine ineffective.
The virus has be beaten up by the media and government to control and oppress citizens.
Government lockdowns and mask/vaccine mandates and quarantine/isolation rules forced many business to close down.

No lockdowns, optional masks and optional vaccines worked effectively in countries lead by reasonable governments. Police state policies in Australia have been similar to the oppression in North Korea, China and Russia, etc. Australian Premiers have become as powerful Stalins/Maos/Putin's, etc, government implementing totalitarianism to make citizens scared like a timid mouse.

The Virus a health crisis/emergency has enabled governments to do what they want over the last 2 and a half years.
How about a virus and scare people and implement any policies we want to take away freedom and liberty to keep them safe.
The people believing the virus was going to wipe them all out gave the government more power and control.
Follow the China way and lockdown, mask mandates, media beat up stories 24/7 propaganda.
People have been locked up or fined heavily for breaking quarantine laws under the Health Emergency Crisis.

It will be a long road to economic recovery with many nations around the world plagued by inflation. Government stimulus measures has triggered double digit inflation around the world and the interest rates are going up and up!

Hundreds of millions I suspect .. and all very much alive and well.

I believe people die with covid ; they also die because they are unwell , or old , or whatever .. but this pandemic has been a very successful world wide control experiment. Even religions were shut-down obedient.
One day we'll see it clearer for what it is ..
