I just saw a doco on the great pyramid of Giza.
Building the pyramids is just crazy, crazy awe inspiring stuff. To accomplish them with their level of technology is just incredible.
According to this doco the builders werent actually slaves at all. They were free Egyptians. I'd always assumed they were slaves. The Egyptians regarded being a part of the building of a pyramid as a great honour & by doing it meant that they would join the pharoah in the afterlife. Not to mention they received better rations then those that didnt work on the pyramids.
I cant help but wonder what they might have accomplished if they hadnt been so obsessed with building giant tombs though.
 
Yep, a waste of resources but it beat unemployment. Similar thinking to the Rapa Nui on Easter Island who devoted all their resources to building those giant statues and eventually rendered their whole island uninhabitable.
 
It just goes on doesn't it You can add Angkor Wat to the list

I am glad you saw a doco that extolled the efforts and ingenuity of early man rather than giving all the credit to little green men

You could probably argue that any major religious institutions could be added to that list. The wars, persecution, bigotry, suppression of scientific advancement....

Nothing wrong with the "little green men".........apparently they (the earthling scientists) worked out that considering the technology available and the human power needed to push/pull up one of those huge blocks to the top they actually might have used the advanced technology of little green creatures.......or it would not have been possible.

Yeah they were definitely saying humans built them, not aliens. Even the math involved was certainly human invented.

I watched Ancient Aliens and they are Aliens, the gods that they prayed to with the dog head and human body, etc...they are here, yes they are and they are having incredible sex here on earth.

yes and the human race is the result of them having lot's of incredible sex on earth........somehow they must have gotten one of our hairy forefathers/mothers among them.:p
