Long time lurker, first time thread poster. No question or feedback...just a rant.
As the subject suggests, I live with a disability, which impacts my mobility and requires use of an electric wheelchair.
I've been punting for close to a decade now in between very rare relationships. For those of us with overtly obvious disabilities, the dating pool is small, so going to see a professional is often the most reliable way to get a little skin-to-skin contact and release of tension, as it were
.
I've been lucky enough to have had a few regulars who see me and have developed good vibes. Unfortunately, my regular girl for the last few years has started bait and switching so bookings are with randoms who are not familiar with what i want/need and often can't speak English.
Having to look for someone new has made me realise that outside my previous arrangement, I can only afford incalls which is a logistical nightmare as travelling is difficult and the ladies premises need to be accessible.
Outcalls are my best option as i am more independent at home but prices are now insane. Many ladies are charging reasonably affordable rates for incalls which then almost double for an outcall. I'm not about to suggest ladies can't charge what they want for a session but doubling a rate to 'cover transport costs' when their uber is approximately $20-$30 (often less as I'm in a fairly central area) each way seems a tad harsh. To add insult, often you're asked to pay the crazy hourly rate and then uber the lady to you on your dime.
I work full-time in a decent job but a monthly meet up of an hr with an extra is now beyond my budget. I shudder to think how many others with disability who need some physical interaction and don't have the means I have there are.
