what makes life hard is how you realy relate
what pushes you over into a hopless state

when you don"t want more time to do the undone
what you need is herrr to be more than one,

you don"t want long talks about timeless things
you need the pains cords to loosen their strings.

her voice and presence did all that and more
lifted burdens and soul weariness let light soar.

its not the lost time ahead i dread the most
like my first child born or my wedding toast,

not lost good times or our christmas day
but needing her to tell me--i"ll be okay.

Little big Horn/ johorncabomfire

We all have such different stories
That make up our long-lifedays
And freindship wanders into our lives,
with its sweetening ways.

For years i wandered in search
of a freind, always wandering
what the term meant.
Insensibly, with the years,
I found more than i imagined.
Friendship was not remote,
Not a rarity, i did not despair
Of finding ardent affections.

I did not feel stuck,
Set in conversations
With the sence they would always be prelimary,
With there inevitable precautions,
With just acquaintances,the familiar.

I found some universal mixture,
Some inexplicable and fated power
That brought each of us together,
In such infinitely varied ways,
Secret appointments of heaven
That just might continue there.

Such varying intensities,degree, intimacies,
For in fact, everyone
Had become in there own way _ Friend

BALYA RETREAT

I met a man called Hilly who tends to Balya retreat
a place of peace and tranquility and scruffy at their feet
this place, it's name meaning healing has risen to the call
of those who are surely dealing with the greatest challenge of all

A thing or two from experience this man could teach us and then
when shoulders a weak from weariness his arms are like a shawl
that held his one true sweetheart his darling Jenny Ran
his heart knowing they will meet again at the end of the long hard haul

Those arms now strong and lean from labour of love and kindness
planting trees and shaping pathways where we ourselves may find us
God forbid the day should ever come till then i thank my lucky stars above
but i know my fears would be overcome by such a man who's heart is full of love

just come in to write a thank you note for fridaynight
and got sidetracked to here -and will have to do it latter on.
Damm you girl-that porm you wrote about me god.
talk about someone that can pull at the heart strings
will you stop pouring the water out of the bucket
as you go flying past--lol--You me got wetting the paper
as I write and the ink is starting to run all over the place.

As for dont be a stranger how can I do that know after meeting YOU.

Just me-lol- It Can Be Done.

Somebody said it couldn"t be done,
But he with a chuckle replied,
Maybe it couldn"t but he"d not be the one
To say so until he had tried.

So he buckled right in with a bit of a grin
On his face----if he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn"t be done-----and he did it. !

Somebody scoffed "Oh, you"ll never do that,
At least, no one ever has done it,"
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing they knew he"d begun it.

With a bit of a grin and a lift of his chin
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing.
That couldn"t be done----and he did it!

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done
There are thousands to prophesy failure
There are thousands ,to point out, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.

But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Take off your coat and go to it,
And start to sing as you tackle the thing,
That cannot be done----and you"ll do it.

Getting to know some one

FROM A PHONE CALL.

For this old bloke
Some may say
he dont work for pay
but always giving a quote

With his head always down
always thinking ahead
doing jobs others dread
he sometimes goes to town

But then within his little shell
some one sure come knocking
and stopped him from blocking
then started to ring his bell

So if someone comes bouncing along
and wants to be a friend to you
your face may turn from red to blue
dont hold back if singing the same song

So the lid of my little shell that blew apart
after a very long working day
you sure got me starting to play
I thank you with a hug & kiss for that start.

MY BALYA.

Beautiful buildings with angular rooms
Comfortable beds and fragrant blooms
Spiritual spaces and more to come
Balya"s a place for leaning and fun.

Olive oil on vegies and salad with seeds
Avocade as well for omega and needs
Green tea and crackers in between meals
Come to balya for food that neals.

Chickpeas in salad and slippers on feet
What would we give for a hunk of red meat
Vegies and fruit are chopp up real nice
This is a bit about the balya life.

Talks on nutrition and meditation
Balloons are popping causing sensation
The wonderful kitchen volunteers
Have helped run balya over the years

We are so grateful
We are so thankful
That your feeling better each day
Knowing that things with you will be ok.

for new peace of mind.

Life goes by, faces and hearts , masked and broken.
Walking tall saddened eyes lying smile,
A glance, a few words ears to listen just for a while.
Fair weather freinds deepest emotions
Lost love, worn out devotion.
False contentment alchol, lust and games,
Darkened rooms strangers with false names.
Reality peeping through blowing curtains,
Night and day never change that is for certain.
Addictive , compulsive shadows falling like rain.
Day has become night pointing , who to blame.
Just another day, sometimes they can all remain the same.
If i can see that small ray of light within your eyes,
deep within your heart i no that you will not despise.
For life is dear,
Minutes seconds no time for indecision or fear.
Llving is gone in an instant.
Nothing left just dust , and an imprint
Of another time and another place.
