OnlyFans: Empowerment or Just a Flash in the Pan?

In a world where side hustles are hotter than a Bunnings snag on a Saturday, OnlyFans has become the spicy debate no one can scroll past. Read on for Master Yoda's sage words of advice.

OnlyFans is a total waste of money and a lot of creators are scamming their subscribers. The hotter the girl or the greater celebrity the higher the price and the less you get. You will notice that some of the popular creators are online 24/7 and instantly reply and hassle you continuously if you have subscribed. That naughty flirting chat you are having is with a third party agency. I know a couple who are on OF and have know them since well before they joined. The girl is heavily into BBC and breeding fantasies so lots of unprotected sex and frequently in a group setting. She would do this for free and loves it. She is a total exhibitionist and he is a voyeur so it works for them.

OnlyFans where 20% of the models get 80% of the money the other 80% models share 20% of the left over money.
I agree;- You will notice that some of the popular creators are online 24/7 and instantly reply and hassle you continuously if you have subscribed. That naughty flirting chat you are having is with a third party agency. (probably an Indian Male) The models pay other groups to do all the flirting and chatting while they focus on their content.

OnlyFans is a business that relies on getting more paying users and more creators willing to make content. In its eyes, the only way forward is to position itself as a creator's platform and not sex workers only platform. In some ways, it feels like there was no other path that the company could take because of the way that our society views the female body.

Very good point. Society and all. I just feel bad for young females that could have done something more, but took this fast and easy path.

There's nothing easy about onlyfans. Definitely a side hustle, a bit of extra money on the side, to give our kids a better life. It’s a lot of hard work unless you're famous or have a massive following on social media. They're the people that use chat bots and agencies. The rest of us slog away spending hours a day posting and promoting for very little money. I'm lucky I'm an actual sex worker, I get to record in bookings if they ask. Which makes the onlyfans road a little more bareable. The worst part about it is constantly starting new social media accounts because of bans, after putting so much effort into it. And then we have to read some mean comments on social media which can really knock you down. Definitely need a thick skin to survive years on onlyfans lol.

You are absolutely right. Most OF creators make bugger all money. And yes it is not always easy. And people will do what they do according to their situations. Especially when they are in actual need.

I am puzzled and curious with the growing amount of young girls that aim for that as a primary target because they think they can side step long years of training and hard work.

Recently I came back from a country I won’t name where a friend shared that many attractive young girls are doing OF type work now. That has changed the night life scene. And even noticeably changed the work force. As almost many of the jobs that used to be done by young women are now done by older women and men. That’s just a snippet, and does not represent the world I know.

However I’d like to respectfully ask if you think that a young girl getting straight into this before giving others career choices a chance are setting themselves and their family up for more difficulties in life later on down the track?

I'm often wondering how girls can make a living on platforms such as Only Fans, BIGO, MyFreeCams etc.... BIGO appears to be the biggest cluster-fuck, can never understand their system of Diamonds and Beans.

Agree with all comments above. It’s hard work and unless you are posting daily and putting yourself out there it won’t be worth it. And yes if you are following or subscribing to the most popular or famous content creators then you have no hope of dealing with that person directly unless you arrange a paid webcam session.

On a positive note I’ve made a couple of amazing connections that have gone beyond OF to actual in person meetings. But it’s rare. And you can’t even use the word “meeting” in your private messages to them as certain words are blocked.

It depends. If she's making side hustle money it wouldn't matter but if she's doing alright out of it then there could be issues down the track. What goes up must come down. She then might struggle with finding something that will earn her the same amount of money. And usually you never do.
