Ahoy its cruel.
Supporters of bullfighting argue that it is a culturally important tradition and a fully developed art form on par with painting, dancing and music, whilst critics hold that it is a blood sport perpetrated as a cowardly act resulting in the suffering of bulls and horses.

Used to be culturally important tradition to burn witches at the stake in Europe and the US, but they grew out of that.

Time the bull fighting countries did too.

Whatever kind of cultural place it may have around the world, I agree that it's cruel and anybody sustaining any form of injury from this kind of "entertainment" bloody well deserves it...

The words cultural and traditional are a free ticket for many We have bull fighting , female circumcision, cock fighting and even dugong and turtle hunting by our Aboriginal peoples Even though chasing a animal with a boat fitted with a motor does not seem traditional to me

But they will all come back with the same response it is our heritage

Quite frankly I think Bull fighting would be OK if the rules were revised.

A No horses in the ring .

B No spears and swords

C Bulls horns are not to be clipped

D Bulls to be bred for size a speed and power which is not the case at the present time.

if bullfighting is a cultural thing, then why do they let foreigners participate??

for the money of course :-) it is always about the money and nuffin else :-) :-)

The Canadians do a little civilized bullfighting for those who think there hockey is too rough.

note the bull has a velcro saddle no pointy spears for the canucks

Bullfighting is pretty awesome. If you get into it and learn the intricacies of the sport, you will be hooked. It's not what most people think.
