People have different needs. As to why women become prostitutes; I think as long as people have goals in mind and achieve or on their way to achieving goals then it's a good thing. Just don't go down the disease, unsafe sex and drug route. Those are slippery slopes.

How about we stop telling Women how to live their lives. Sex work is illegal in the USA and other countries and all the social issues and legal issues that come from ugly, horny, frustrated men that can not simply pay to fuck sex workers. It is easier and legal to buy guns in the USA but it is illegal to pay a sex worker for sex.
 
Life is about choices, being a sex worker is not a bad choice, it can be a choice that brings positive outcomes. Yeah sure it can be abused and Im sure there are many young girls and even boys who are exploited for sex work. But where it is legal and the law protects its citizens, sex work can be a great service.

There is little or no demand for male escorts and the pics of male escorts I have seen, I would regard them as average looking at best and definitely not male model in looks. A male escort must be tall, muscular and near perfect in looks to attract women. Men have a more variable taste in regards to women and thus there are a lot more sex workers.
