I am with whilom Red Dog is worth the effort. I wouldn't call it a chick flick but a really entertaining movie without the ever present American super action. I enjoyed it.........had a good laugh :laughing4

Hi Rochelle,

Saw it on a flight to Adelaide.
When the lights came on there was streaked mascara every where.
More than a few of the guys were rubbing their eyes (only because the light was so bright of course). I admit I'm a big sook.
I bet you got a bit teary too.
 
The dog dies I assume? Anything like that with mans best friend causes tears for us blokes :(

Marley and me was a shocker lol.

Few good movies coming out soon. Lots of half decent romcom's that have enough action and humour for us blokes. Not sure about Real Steel though. If your a fan of fast toys, danger or sitting on objects that bring immense pleasure, keep an eye out for TT3D. Movie about the 2010 Isle of Man race which I think is due out here shortly

I certainly did get teary, whilom......mainly just laughing my head off especially when the Italian dude falls for the vet nurse and the poor dog has to serve as an alibi :laughing4

Hmmmmmm I am not really the romantic type but thinking about I did feel for Red Dog. The poor bugger travels to half of Australia only to find out that his owner is not around anymore........tearyeyed.......that's a bit sad.
Any other movie recommendations???

Hi Rochelle

A movie I liked was "Definately Maybee" Starred Ilsha Fisher.
Another was "Sweet Holm Alabamma" with Reece Weatherspon (Its got a dog in it too).

A classic is "Walk the Line" The Jonny Cash story again with Reece Weatherspoon.

My all time favourite was "Avatar".

Then I get into Japanese Martial Arts movies like "Assassins" on at Paridiso Northbridge.

If your into science fantasy books try Robert Jordans "Wheel of Time" series.

Spot on, Happy2, Goerge RR Martin's books are great, one of my all time favs, I havn't seen the HBO mini series yet but by all reports is worth seeing.

Saw Harry Porter's final the other day, a nice wrap up of a long running series.

Best thing forest each episode a full hour and add free on showcase
Second series is meant to be in the pipeline. I also enjoyed the
historical fiction of the Borgias about a month ago
Fox Has many crappy shows but they throw up a few gems every now and again
 
Well I am a lady that always loves porn, gets me in the mood all time with out fail . I do like the private collection especially pirates of the Caribbean lol great movie ladies will love it too lots of great girly scenes

Love my classics too especially Quentin Tarantino ones :notworthy. Never getting tired of watching them.
How about series? Watched the Borgias and enjoyed it........ever heard of Sons of Anarchy? (series 4 should start soon.........Jax is real hot :love10: yum yum yum)

Totally agree. I think she is very convincing as Gemma. But I was a bit surprised to find her as head-bitch of a biker clup.......lol only a "slightly" different part than Married with Children.

Blind Side was a surprisingly good movie. Loved it.
Red Dog was fantastic. Loved it too.
"La Fessee - Les Memoires de monsieur Leon maitre-fesseur" was ... ooops, wrong type of movie ;)

Hi TJ Just wondering is red dog really a tear jerker at the end? IE Will it make a cockie used to the business end of food production a bit teary?
If so cant watch it Have a reputation to live down to
 
Don't pick on Katy Sagal, she is awesome as Leila on Futurama! Just read Quentin Tarantino's script for his new movie 'Django Unchained'. It's out I think March next year and is of course brilliant! It's a spaghetti western so can't wait to see it . I'm with you Rochelle I love anything by him.
