Long (shoulder length or more) for me please.

I don't mind a short bob (e.g. below) but the first photo above is too short for my taste.

I wasn't going to interject in this thread, my own stylistic preferences can be seen in my avatar. So male style hair cuts on women I am quite fond of.

It depends on the woman as far as hair style goes. Shape of face and skill of the hair-dresser. There are a few girls I think short hair looks better on them than long, and vice versa. Though I'll declare I don't have a default position either way.

Emma Watson and Natalie Portman I'll shout out as women that look better with short hair. Proper short... But again, that's just imho
 
As long as the hair suits the face and the woman, some women have short hair and it doesn't suit them they keep it short because of children pulling it "ouch" or they just hate the extra time it takes to wash, dry, set etc etc, where as some women have long hair and it looks horrible on them, A lot of women enjoy longer styles in the younger years, but as a woman ages she no longer cares or kids pull on it, takes ages to look after blow drying in the morning, wind and rain ruins it before she gets to work, the costs involved too, so what I will say is what suits her style at that time in her life...
 
It's not only in looks that I prefer long hair but also for its potential in enhancing stimulation in various sexual situations. :D
