Haha I had a horrific date with a guy who confessed to being short - then when I queried his height ( he was taller than me by several inches and and Im only 5' F all lol) he admitted to wearing special shoes that have in built internal heels - bit like the some of the platforms us gals wear -from a place called Tallmen.com lol

Short man Syndrome that's called, Simon Cowell does the same, all his millions and what he wants he can not have, height... its great being over 6 foot in the old money, it really is walk into a crowd can see all, not many can stand in front of me to block TV screens or the likes, its great :) and if I wear 4 inch heels I am about 6 foot 5to6... nice.. LOL

I know over summer I was standing along side Dean Cox I now know how these little men feel
But I soon got over it

Amanda... "Oh, I wear lifts, I hope that's ok" should be a sentence reserved for the 10th date I'd say. Pity though, one can't really help how tall one is. It's all genetics.
 
I do know a lady of 6ft 1 in the old scale I remember her meeting a retired cop who is about 6ft 4 I remember her saying
"It's so good to be able to look up to a man for a change"
 
Wonder why heigh is so important for women. It doesn't really say anything about the man. That 6'4" guy might be a complete arse. And 100 5'3" guys get over looked that might be "perfect" because they're too short.

Don't know about nowadays but there was a certain cachet(?) to a man being 6 ft
I remember my dad was 5-11 and a 1/2 He used to stress the half
 
That said, on my basketball team. There's not a partner over 5'7" at a guesstimate. And the shortest guy on our team is 5'11", and he has the tallest girlfriend of the lot.

So I wonder why the reverse isn't true.

You would hope it's true in reverse Or many of the ladies on the national basketball team could be in for a dry spell

So true. Us albino dwarves have a terrible time of it. Life can be quite cruel, so very cruel. :(

Likewise on my basketball team, tallest player had the shortest partner and shortest had the tallest partner. The average height of each partnership returned a similar result.
I seem to notice more tall/short combinations in couples whilst people watching. Perhaps I only notice those more so since I'm at one end of the scale myself; and likewise prefer my partner to be at the other end of the scale.
It's a bit like buying a new car, I start noticing how many of the same model are already on the road.

Every woman I know desires for men over 6 Foot a lot of my female friends wont date short men under 5 foot 9 ish as everyone says men under this height suffer from short man syndrome and need to have things like loud motorbikes, large cars like F250's towing equally as large boats etc etc, to compensate for height and other male issues, and every woman that I know that has dated shorter men whereby the woman is taller than him before she wears heels hates it and he hates it even more so when she puts on her 4-5 inch heels, it is just the way it is.... Taller guys get more looks by women.... plus a taller guy over 6 foot can put on a little weight and it doesn't show as quickly as a shorter dude...

Plus women love shopping with tall dudes if she is short herself she can ask him to get things off the higher shelves... :)

And there we have the differences of the genders, you say mention violence, whereby the last thing a woman would do in heels is kick someone whilst wearing them they could get ruined, blood on them etc etc, why would a woman do such a thing to her heels or clothes in general. surely men can go out without wanting to fight...
 
Women tend to use glassing as their preferred choice of violence in Australia. Women are just as bad as men in Oz. ALL AUSTRALIANS need to pull their heads in. If you go to countries like Spain and Italy people of all ages are drinking, talking having fun until all hours of the night and nary a violent word is spoken; everyone remaining sociable.

Thats not true, you don't hear of gf killing their bfs anywhere near as much.
