K Is For Kissing💋: History, Photos & Ladies Who Offer💋 Kissing 💋In Their Service💋🔥💋

From the classical era through the Middle Ages, kissing served many functions beyond romance. It could be used to seal business or political deals or as a form of greeting, particularly between men. By the Middle Ages, everybody was kissing everybody across Europe, but the practice was governed by specific rules based on social standing. One could only kiss someone at their own level on the lips, and superiors had to be kissed on the hand, check, foot, or knee. If the object of their kissy desire was a real big shot, they resorted to kissing the ground in front of them.

Ask anyone and they will tell you that the French kiss with their tongues. That very well may be true, but they weren't the first to give themselves credit for it. It's thought that British and American soldiers during World War II coined the term "French kissing" after encounters with "sexually adventurous French nationals," but the French didn't have a specific word for the act until galocher, a slang term meaning "to kiss with tongues," was officially added to the dictionary in 2014.

Early European travellers to Japan believed that the Japanese people did not kiss because they never witnessed the practice, but what they didn't realize was that the ancient Japanese considered kissing an intimate act that was kept in the bedroom and not openly discussed. It seems that the Japanese loosened up a bit after contact with the Europeans, but public kissing was still frowned upon as recently as 50 years ago. In fact, the Japanese did not even have a word for kissing in their language. They borrowed one from English, kisu.

There are many types of kisses, but when you want to communicate desire no typical old kiss will do: you need a fiercely passionate one. From setting the mood to learning how to ramp up the heat factor, here are some tricks that will take your partner's breath away!

Make sure your breath is minty fresh and clean. Naturally, you practice good oral hygiene, but if you have any doubts about your breath, take a breath mint shortly before the kiss. Make sure to finish the mint or gum before you lock lips.

Approach the kiss with confidence. Try to kiss their cheek so they turn their head your way. Once you've chosen the right moment to kiss someone, there's no turning back, especially if it's your first time kissing that particular person. Be decisive and confident. If the person doesn't want the kiss, he or she will let you know, but until then, act as though you're a pro.

Set the mood. If you truly want your kiss to be passionate, you will need to set the right mood. That doesn't mean that you have to throw rose petals everywhere and light a hundred candles, but you should be someplace without many distractions--that way you can both focus on each other (and your passionate kiss).

Some kissing guidelines apply to basically everyone who doesn’t have a few very specific kinks. Don’t lick someone’s entire face in the manner of an excitable golden retriever. Try not to bash teeth or any teeth-related hardware together. Fresh breath is generally appreciated.

Other than those kinds of broad rules, kissing is a lot like sex in its uniqueness. Each person has their own preferences, which can change throughout their lifetime. As a sex educator, coach, and human with kissing experience, I know that what makes a toe-curling kiss for one person might fall flat for somebody else. Some people prefer a rougher, more intense kiss, while others want it slow and soft. For some, enjoyment of a kiss may depend entirely on the context.
