Journalist seeking FIFO miners | Sex work | Kalgoorlie

Hi, I’m an Australian journalist working on a documentary about the relationship between the FIFO mining industry and the sex industry in regional and remote Western Australia.

I’m looking to speak with men who work or have worked FIFO in mining and have paid for sex or otherwise engaged the services of sex workers while working away.

I’m interested in hearing about the experience from the client’s perspective, including what led you to seek out a sex worker while on roster, how the experience fits into FIFO life, and the broader culture around sex work in mining communities.

This is genuine journalistic research for a documentary. I’m not a sex worker, escort or someone looking for a sexual encounter, and this isn't a solicitation of any kind nor can any payment be given for interview.

I'm particularly interested in people who are willing to have an honest conversation about their experiences rather than simply sharing sensational stories. There is no judgement attached to the project.

Privacy is important. We can discuss anonymity, confidentiality and whether/how you would be identified before you agree to an interview. You don't need to provide your real name publicly or disclose identifying details in your initial message.

If you're interested, please send me a private message and I can provide more information about myself, the project and what an interview would involve. I am currently in Kalgoorlie for the next two days so would be best if you are available in this time.

Thanks for reading, and thanks to anyone willing to share this with someone who might be interested.

As FIFO worker, I would love it too, really love it. If you got the jab, they know what you have inside your body.
If you go with the interview, they will know what you had around your cock. If you choose to go this way,at least keep the names and location private.
My take of these so called social experiments is: go and get layed and find out how it is. Nobody will truely live my experience. Get a carton of Cialis and go test the fields. Than write your story.
Emphasis on : YOUR OWN STORY. Not my story, your own. This is journalism. Happy punting bro/bra.

I get what you're saying... yet she is clearly not FIFO and wants to interview FIFO men who see working ladies, not her own experience. x

After our experiences in the past, new members should have to prove themselves before they get full membership.

Bit like being a prospect for the Hells Angels.🤣
Surely a legitimate journalist would identify themselves when requesting people tell them their story?

The article could make for interesting reading but at the very least Agilly1 should legitimise the request by disclosing the publication/s the article would appear in and their own journalistic credentials.
