I`m constantly getting in trouble for buying clothes I don`t really need but I guess for me, shopping is kind of like a therapy.

Is it better to buy a pair of pants that I can wear for example for about $20 or is the money better spent on treating myself to an outside meal that will only get pooped out? or going to see a movie that will probably end up on TV anyway? Or buying a dvd I can watch over and over again? or buying a book I can maybe trade in for another after I have read it? Or perhaps it is better spent buying a music cd to lay on the bed and listen to?

Or should I just give the $20 to a charity??

Maybe you can save it and later when money enough get a happy time with a lady x

Charity is a great option but if you want to spend it on yourself then $20 = 180 seconds with a lovely lady, I know what I'd be doing with it :)

If your like me Dallas what would you do with the 60secs that are left after finishing the evil act Pillow talk or arrange credit

I do donate money to charity but charity does begin at home i.e. yourself. If your job is something you don't particularly relish - it's just a job, then I'd view my salary as the bribe I'm put up with something akin to having my teeth pulled - so it's a treat to yourself.

As to which gives you more "bang" for your buck - do you have any hobbies (aside from Langtrees) which give you satisfaction? If not, perhaps it's time to consider undertaking one. Take a look at some of the recipes I've put up here and perhaps try to cook the simplest one. And when you've cooked it once, you tend to get better and faster at it, cook it a second time and invite someone around. The art of dining with friends at home is rapidly disappearing because too many people just order takeaways or go out to restaurants.

Finally, Lotteries West donate a lot of money to charity. So buy a Lotto ticket with part of your $20 - it could benefit you in the long run. And the rest - go to the nearest Opp shop or second hand bookstore and buy yourself a good book.

Giving to charity is a good thing, it makes you realize how lucky you really are.

I never "get" the lure of shopping.

I enter shops when I need something and leave as soon as I have got it - a typical man on a mission.

By the way, Billy, if you know of anywhere where they sell pants worth wearing for $20 please share the secret.

I can tell you where they sell pants for $20 - at the Salvo's ...
you will be killing 2 birds with one stone !!!
Getting a great pants & giving to charity!!!
WIN WIN!!

Perhpas find a balance, every now and then buy a new key item of clothing that you know you will get good use out of and are comfortable with, and then alternate and donate to charaties? That way you get your consumer satisfaction along with the satisfaction that you are doing your piece for humanity :)

Ohhhhhhhh obviously wisdom is enlightening you since last week ;)
It really must be a controversial thing to be another 'happy' ......... :)

So maybe we should rephrase it............what ever makes you feel good, BB.
Sometimes it is a good idea not to think too much about the $20 and how to spend them.......just do with it what comes to mind first.

R.xxxxxxx
