I always had this question in mind. Can you work with pregnancy? If yes until which month? If no, what are the problems

It's completely safe for pregnant women to have sex right up until the day baby is born. As long as waters are not broken of course. The main risk is STI as some can be passed onto the unborn child

Sure, it's physically possible but babies absorb emotional energy from their mother so if it's a negative, dangerous or scary scene for the mother then that energy is transferred to the child. There have been two research papers exploring the connection between antenatal experience and trauma.

That is very true. Any environment including relationships has the potential to have a negative impact. As a SW and have worked briefly when pregnant. I never felt threatened in any way. I doubt any woman would put there unborn child in danger on purpose. With all the hormones during pregnancy and the extra blood pumping. It can be an amazing experience.

You seem very self aware. But I have known SW's who are clearly disregulated and with personality disorders.

We have a family member who suffers from both and worked throughout her pregnancy and continues to do so. We do have concerns about the well-being of the child.
This is such a hard one. I'm so sorry to hear you are dealing with this situation. All I can suggest if there is a family member who can care for the child as much as possible to ensure they are safe. Reporting to Child Protection report line. But they are extremely understaffed. With the mother being involved in this industry and substance abuse. It may get a higher priority. I do know of 2 cases of children being removed from SW. Child being on premises is a massive no. With substance abuse comes with greater risk taking. I do want to point out that there are many wonderful mother's in this industry. As long as it's kept seperate from family life and child is not placed in any risk situation. My inbox is always open if you need someone to chat to.
