Big storm get your wet weather gear out with warm clothing. fill the bath with water have plenty of bottled water and canned food bread etc. a vandels and dynamo wind up torch with radio and tune to ABC for emergency updates.

Warm clothing? It's Darwin. Weatherproof definitely. Im off to get a new battery starter pack. Turns out I had a flat battery and Im lucky I didn't need to leave. Not that I could drive as I hurt myself during prep.
 
We were very lucky. If that bitch Fina had come in closer to the coast it would have been much much worse.

Sorry to hear you hurt yourself in the prep. I hope you are back to 100% soon!
 
It's luck of the draw isn't it. It could have come closer, it could have been stronger.
It makes you realise just how helpless you are and at the mercy of nature.
 
Weather models are showing another possible cyclone by the 10th of December.
I'm to exhausted for this right now 😩
